Tournament OverviewThe 2025 Masters Tournament returns to Augusta National Golf Club from April 10–13, marking the 89th edition of this iconic event. Known for its prestige and tradition, the Masters is the first major of the golf season and a fan favorite around the globe. Augusta National remains a par 72 course measuring 7,555 yards, with minor changes including a 10-yard tee extension on the par-5 second hole. Despite losing several trees due to Hurricane Helene, the course is in top condition, maintaining its trademark charm and challenge.

All eyes will be on Scottie Scheffler, the world No. 1 and defending champion, who claimed his second green jacket in 2024. With odds at 3/1, Scheffler is looking to become just the fourth player to win back-to-back Masters titles, joining legends like Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods. Rory McIlroy, still chasing his first Masters title to complete the career Grand Slam, enters with strong momentum. He’s fresh off victories at the Players Championship and Pebble Beach Pro-Am and has shortened odds at 7/1. Another rising star is Ludvig Aberg, the 24-year-old Swede who surprised everyone with a runner-up finish in his Masters debut last year and has since added a PGA Tour victory at the Genesis Invitational. Jon Rahm, the 2023 Masters winner, returns with a solid record at Augusta and hopes to bounce back from a quiet start to his 2025 season.

Predictions and LongshotsWhile Scheffler and McIlroy top the odds boards, other names are drawing attention. Xander Schauffele (10/1) is a major threat, especially after winning The Open last season. Collin Morikawa (18/1) is known for his sharp iron play and calm demeanor, making him a strong sleeper pick. Longshot bets include Justin Thomas (20/1), two-time LIV Golf winner Joaquin Niemann (28/1), and 2019 Open Champion Shane Lowry (35/1), all of whom could make a run if they find their groove early.
